Gran Fondo Jawa Pos Suramadu2017

Gran Fondo Jawa Pos Suramadu was held for the second time, 14 October 2017. This was a very unique ride, offering the rare experience of crossing over the Suramadu Bridge, a 5.5 km link between the islands of Java and Madura.

Mandiri Gran Fondo Jawa Pos Tondano 2017

The MANDIRI GRAN FONDO JAWA POS TONDANO 2017 was a unique riding experience. The route was 166 km long, with start and finish in Manado, North Sulawesi. Participants ride along the coast of North Sulawesi, traveling to the spectacular Lake Tondano before returning back to town.

Gran Fondo Jawa Pos East Java Malang 2017

Time flies! Gran Fondo Jawa Pos East Java now enters its fifth year. Started in 2013 as Audax East Java, the event visited many beautiful destinations in the province. This year, the event will have a new starting venue: East Java's second largest city, Malang. The event will start in the City Hall, heading south to visit the beautiful beaches of South Malang, and then goes back to Malang from another side. Participants will ride 167 km, with 2,033 m of total climbing. As usual, the stops will offer plenty of food and services.

Jawa Pos Cycling Bromo 100 KM 2017

The fourth edition of Jawa Pos Cycling Bromo 100 Km, which has become Indonesia's best and most challenging climbing event. The 2017 edition will continue the tradition, riding from Surabaya to the village of Wonokitri in Bromo, climbing from zero to 2,000 meters above sea level in the last 40 km.

Gran Fondo Jawa Pos East Java 2016

This will be the the fourth year Jawa Pos organize a long distance riding event in East Java. In October 2016, for one day, participants will experience riding roundtrip across the famous Suramadu Bridge, traveling from Surabaya to the island of Madura. The route will take the peloton to the east and back, visiting towns and tourist destinations of the island. There are no big climbs in Madura, so this event will be excellent for beginner and intermediate level cyclists, but still challenging enough for the avid participants.

Gran Fondo Jawa Pos Prambanan 2016

In August 2016, Gran Fondo Jawa Pos will be held for the first time in Central Java and Yogyakarta provinces. Traveling around the legendary temple of Prambanan, the route will cover the best of Yogyakarta, venturing to Central Java countrysides, visiting amazing places not normally visited by tourists. As usual, Jawa Pos famous service, support, hospitality, and surprises will be present.

Jawa Pos Cycling Bromo 100 KM 2016

Jawa Pos Cycling Bromo 100 KM is an annual climbing cycling challenge organized by the Jawa Pos newspaper in East Java, Indonesia. The ride is started in Surabaya, the capital of East Java province and the second biggest city in Indonesia, continuing to the city of Pasuruan. After the flat 60 kilometer trip, participants then climb up all the way to Wonokitri, a small village in the vicinity of Mount Bromo, an active volcano and East Java's most favorite tourist destination.
At the finish, participants reached the highest elevation point of 2,000 meter, after conquering a long steady climb with 16 % maximum grade near the top. The 100 kilometer event is accomplished in 5 to 6 hours, after which participants could enjoyed the beauty and magic of Mount Bromo. For 2016 edition, a new competitive part is added to the event. A King of the Mountain (KOM) Challenge for the top 15 km of the climb. Winners in different categories will be presented with victory medals and other prizes. (*)

Gran Fondo Jawa Pos East Java 2015

Jawa Pos Cycling, a division under Indonesia's biggest newspaper, the Jawa Pos, have organized long distance and climbing cycling challenge since 2013. The events are now recognized by many as the best in the country, with the highest standard of service and execution.
For this year, Jawa Pos Cycling introduces the GRAN FONDO JAWA POS EAST JAVA, was held in 22-23 August 2015. The cycling challenge covered 330 km of riding, started in Surabaya and finished at Telaga Sarangan, a spectacular mountain-top lake in the border of East Java and Central Java. (*)

Jawa Pos Cycling Audax East Java 2014

Jawa Pos Cycling Audax East Java 2014 was a non-competitive, long distance, and climbing cycling challenge organized by Jawa Pos Newspaper in September 20-21, 2014 and only allows maximum of 300 cyclist to participate. Jawa Pos Cycling Audax East Java 2014 an official event of Audax Indonesia, the official license holder from L'Union des Audax Francais (UAF) in France. This year (2014) will be the second edition of Jawa Pos Cycling Audax East Java, with route from Surabaya heading to Banyuwangi with one night spent at Jember city. The total distance gained 333 km with maximum time 14/15 hours.

Jawa Pos Cycling Audax East Java 2013

Jawa Pos Cycling Audax East Java 2013 was held on 30 June 2013, to celebrate Jawa Pos newspaper’s 64th anniversary and Bhayangkara’s 67th anniversary. Participants rode 232 kilometers route in 11-12 hours. This was the first ever Audax event in the province of East Java, Indonesia. Audax is not a race. Audax is a non-competitive, time-limited, long-distance cycling. The term “audax,” meaning “audacious,” was given to a movement started in 1897, when a group of Italian cyclists rode 200 km between sunrise and sunset, and known as “les Audacieux.” These days, classic ride lengths are 200, 300, 400 and 600 km. Longer rides are possible, up to 3,200 km. The most famous Audax Paris-Brest-Paris (PBP) is about 1,200 km. Jawa Pos Cycling Audax East Java 2013 was an official event of AUDAX INDONESIA, the official license holder from L’Union des Audax Francais.
